11 Ways to Make Your Yacht Vacation More Memorable
Renting a yacht is the best way to make your dream vacation come true. The experience, relaxation and atmosphere is unmatched.
However, no matter how much you like yachting, if there are not enough memorable moments during your vacation it will be incomplete. Here is a list of seven ways to make sure that won’t happen:

1) Take the time before your departure to organize your things properly.
Don’t just throw all the things you think you need into a suitcase and shut it.
Be careful to pack everything in separate bags or boxes, so that you will have easy access to each of them during your trip.

2) If possible, choose a boat with a private cabin.
This way you can enjoy some privacy without having to miss anything from your usual day to day life.

3) Don’t forget about the basics.
Pack a first aid kit with all the necessary items, as well as some tools just in case. Make sure you have enough food and water on board, as it might be out of reach for a few days during bad weather conditions.

4) Sail to different places.
Don’t spend the whole vacation in one place, even if it’s a beautiful one.
Sailing to different destinations will not only make your trip more interesting but also give you a chance to explore new areas.

5) Book an experienced captain and crew.
This is especially important if you are not very experienced yourself. A skilled crew will adapt to your specific needs and wishes, avoiding any potential problems or conflicts.

6) If you have kids, don’t forget the entertainment.
There should always be something fun for them to do on board, so they won’t get bored during your trip. Spend some time finding the perfect activities while also thinking about the safety of your kids.

7) Be open minded.
Even if you have seen all these amazing places in pictures, nothing can replace the real thing. There will be times when you stumble upon a place that seems familiar to you from photos or paintings that you have seen before, but remember that it’s always better to appreciate it for the first time with your own eyes.

8) Get to know your crew and captain.
This is a great opportunity to make some new friends and learn more about their culture and lifestyle. You will be spending quite a lot of time together, so it’s best to make the most of it.

9) Take pictures and write in your journal.
Documenting your trip is a great way to look back to those moments that made it special. Write down the funny stories and the quirky facts you learn from your crew, as well as any amazing experiences you have during your holiday. Take pictures wherever you go and share them on social media afterwards, to make sure that all of your friends can live a little through you.

10) Try to leave your daily routines (and problems) behind.
Even though it’s nice to keep up with what is happening back home, you will be spending almost half of the time out at sea, so there won’t be much reception anyway. It might sound hard but leaving everything that bothers you on the shore is an essential part of having a great vacation.

11) Last but not least, relax and enjoy the experience!
Sailing on a yacht is not just about the destination, it’s also about the journey. Take some time to sunbathe, read a book or just listen to the sound of the waves. Let go of all your worries and focus on the present moment.
